PDF ReDirect Windows Software Free Download

PDF software can be extremely sophisticated -- with a price to match. But sometimes you just want to create a simple PDF document that others can open and view. PDF ReDirect Freeware is a simple PDF creator from EXP Systems. It creates and merges universal PDF documents with no restrictions, watermarks, size limits, ad banners, pop-ups, nags, or similar limitations.
PDF ReDirect opens with its Help file displayed as well as a list comparing its features with its shareware version. Like many PDF creators, PDF ReDirect appears as an option on the Printer menu when you select the Print command from a document. It's a simple setup that keeps tools compact, but PDF ReDirect doesn't offer a mere properties sheet or enhanced print dialog for selecting your output options; it has an actual interface that you can also open (along with Help file, uninstaller, and more) from the program's Start Menu folder. The interface is colorful and a bit busy, and you can't drag the partitions to enlarge the various sections, but you certainly get a lot more choices that we've seen in similar apps. Not only does the main view have quite a few settings, but PDF ReDirect's Preferences offers still more, including General Preferences as well as Properties such as Fonts and Custom Paper Size. We could even choose between Basic and Advanced printer settings. We created a new text document, saved it, and then opened PDF ReDirect by clicking Print. Following its easy steps, we saved our document as a PDF that subsequently opened normally in Adobe Reader. A button to create a new PDF from the program's user interface would be nice but hardly necessary for most jobs.

While PDF ReDirect's user interface isn't the most intuitive we've seen, the mere fact that it has one sets it apart from the competition. Front to back, PDF ReDirect Freeware offers much more in features and options than most free PDF tools based around the Print command. PDF ReDirect Professional is available for users who like the freeware but need more features and options, such as batch processing and encryption.

PDF To Word Converter Windows Software Free Download

Adobe developed the Portable Document Format to standardize electronic document handling. PDF, the file format that carries the business world on its back, is everywhere, from product manuals to legal documents. To open, view, and edit PDFs, you need a PDF reader -- for example, Adobe's free Reader. Despite competition from simpler tools, Reader remains the standard the others are judged against. We looked at the latest version of Reader, Adobe Reader X. With it you can view and annotate all PDF files, sign documents electronically, and access optional Adobe Online subscription services directly from inside its interface.
Reader X's familiar interface opens with a quick-start file manager from which we could open a recent file or log in to an existing Adobe Online account. We clicked Open and browsed to a folder full of PDFs we use for testing. Reader rendered each document with high detail and faithful color reproduction. Clicking the Sign icon on Reader's toolbar let us digitally sign documents by adding text or attaching a signature via a wizard. We could also Print our document or e-mail it as an attachment or via Adobe SendNow. We could highlight text, add Sticky Notes, take a Snapshot, and attach Comments.
Reader has some extras that stripped-down competitors can't match, such as its Read Out Loud tool, which can read documents to you if you have sound capability. A Tracker tool monitors updates to Reviews and Forms. Under the Edit menu, entries labeled Protection, Analysis, and Accessibility let us manage security settings, check document accessibility, and analyze data using the Object Data Tool and Geospatial Location Tool. Reader doesn't lack support, either, starting with the sort of extensive Help file you'd expect from an Adobe product. The optional online services include converting PDFs to Word or Excel documents and creating PDFs using Adobe CreatePDF online. Clicking Tools toggles open the online extras.
As we noted, Adobe Reader X is the standard for freeware PDF readers, none of which can match Reader's capabilities and extras. Lighter, simpler tools are available, but Adobe's free reader remains the one to beat.

Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint File Formats Software Free Download For Windows

Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint File Formats Software Free Download Review:

Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack makes files created with Office 2007 and later work seamlessly on earlier versions of Office. If you're using an unpatched version of Office, this download will fix it. However, before you install this pack, make sure to download and install all of the latest updates from Microsoft.
http://dw.cbsi.com/redir?edId=3&tag=tdw_dltext&lop=link&pid=11345372&mfgId=50119&merId=50119&ltype=dl_dlnow&ctype=dm%3Blanguage&cval=NONE%3Ben&destUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fdownload.cnet.com%2FMicrosoft-Office-Compatibility-Pack-for-Word-Excel-and-PowerPoint-File-Formats%2F3001-18483_4-10648733.html%3FhasJs%3Dn%26hlndr%3D1&spi=9de981e502d466fc72f6d4b3b39e60f1&oid=3101-2010_4-0&ontId=2010_4&siteId=4&pguid=2438a70868224238801d29a6

If you're still using Office 2000, Office XP, or Office 2003, then this patch will help you easily open, edit, and save files created with newer versions of Office. It's a surprisingly big download -- checking in at 37MB. That means you should set aside some time to download it if you're on a slow connection. Once you install this pack, you don't have to do much to make it work. It automatically repairs the issue. It also adds support to the Word Viewer 2003, Excel Viewer 2003, and PowerPoint Viewer 2003 to open DOCX, XSLX, and PPTX files.
While it's surprising that Microsoft Office Compatibility pack is as big as it is, it's not loaded down with unnecessary extras, and it solves compatibility issues with older versions with little effort on your part.

Soda PDF 3D Reader Software Free Download For Windows

Soda PDF 3D Reader Software Free Download For Windows Review:

Soda 3D Reader is Lulu Software's answer to Adobe Reader. While it may not be the most powerful Adobe alternative out there, it does have some nice features and unique 3D functionality that make it worth a look.
The program's interface is clean and inviting, with ribbon-style navigation that should be familiar to Microsoft Office 2010 users. The tabs at the top act as your main menu, with submenus that open up beneath them as you click. And along the left, there's a page preview pane, if you choose to enable it. The program's controls are intuitive, and overall it performs impressively, as it opens up and zips around PDF files fairly quickly.

When you're viewing PDF files, Soda has you covered. It does the basics like zoom, full-screen, continuous view, and multiple-page view very well. But its biggest selling point is obviously its unique 3D View option. This patent-pending technology presents PDF files like a book, allowing you to grab and manipulate a page just as you might in the physical world. While this may not be a particularly useful feature, it does add some visual flavor to what might otherwise be a drab PDF file. Plus, when viewing digital comic books (Soda can open CBR and CBZ files as well), this 3D view makes for a uniquely immersive experience.
But Soda 3D Reader doesn't stop at viewing PDF files, it also creates them. Just hit the Create PDF tab at the top, and you'll see a row of buttons that lets you create from a variety of file types, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Plus, it can plug into your browsers and Microsoft Office so you can create directly from those programs.
Unfortunately, Soda cannot edit or otherwise annotate PDF files. Clicking on any of these tools brings up an upgrade window, prompting you to step up to one of Soda's premium paid options. This puts Soda 3D Reader at a significant disadvantage when compared with some other free readers out there, namely Nitro.
Overall, we think Soda 3D Reader is a solid offering that's a great alternative to Adobe Reader. It's fast and easy to use, plus it has a nifty 3D View and can create PDF files. However, it cannot edit or annotate PDF files, which could be a deal-breaker for many.

Free PDF to Word Softeare Free Download

Free PDF to Word Software Review:

People share PDFs more than any other type of file, but they can be a pain to edit. Free PDF to Word switches them over to work in text editors so you can make quick edits. Though the program mentions Microsoft Word's ubiquitous word processor, it also works with Open Office and other open-source programs.
The program won't take up much hard-drive space and it can be installed in seconds. Free PDF to Word isn't exciting to look at, but it works like a charm. The best part is that it maintains most of the PDF's design, so you don't have to spend time putting the layout back together. You can make your edits and then export the file back to PDF. It will still have all the colors, images, and graphs it had before your edits. This software creates a special folder for the new document, but you can change this before converting. That way, you can keep the same file organization and you won't have to go searching for the converted document.
Free PDF to Word is a must-have for students, club members, and anyone who shares work online. It can shave hours off of your workload.
