Free Download Norton Internet Security 2013 Review:
Norton Internet Security 2014 sits in the middle of Symantec's new line of premium anti-virus tools. It has the same comprehensive, real-time protection from viruses, malware, identity theft, and online scams as Norton AntiVirus, as well as 24/7 support, online software management, deep cleaning and repair, and a streamlined interface. Internet Security 2014 adds system performance tools, parental controls, an intelligent two-way firewall, and more. But it really earns its keep by protecting up to three PCs, making it a great choice for a family network or users with more than one computer.
Installing Norton
Internet Security 2014 on another computer or upgrading from a previous
Norton AntiVirus product is easy with your included Norton account, but
new accounts are quick and easy to create, too. With its
yellow-and-black theme and 3D rotation, Internet Security's user
interface is attractive and up-to-date. A quick start guide described
the program's four main advantages, starting with the Green Square,
indicating a healthy PC and including the Norton Zone for secure Cloud
sharing, Norton Mobile Security for smartphones, and Norton Family for
keeping tabs on the kids. We could also back up important files with
Norton Online Backup. Clicking "Support" uncovered Help, Support, and
Tutorials in abundance. Internet Security comes with the kind of
technical support that so-called free AntiVirus programs actually charge
for. Be sure to check out the useful Settings. It's worth spending time
configuring how Internet Security downloads and installs updates,
excludes items, and protects your system in real time.
But first we needed a secure computer. A Red Square showed our PC was "At Risk," so we clicked "Fix Now" to activate Internet Security's smart Auto-Protect and SONAR Protection features. We always start new anti-virus tools with a full system scan. Norton's scan is deep and takes time, but you can run the Quick Scan (or a Custom Scan) for quicker daily runs. A Green Square showed our system was healthy and protected. The bottom line with premium anti-virus packages is always, "what's your system worth?" Multiply that by three, and you might come up with Norton Internet Security 2014.
Editors' note: This is a review of the full version of Norton Internet Security 2014 20.1. The trial version is limited to 30 days.
